We’re a small crew of skaters and artists in Berkeley, California, building the boards we want to ride for the wide, unique terrain that surrounds us here in the bay area and California — skateboards that skate like a skateboard and stay stable like a longboard, shaped through years of trial and error, and wrapped in amazing artwork from our skate community.
We don’t chase trends. We can’t — it’s the opposite of what Bonzing is. Every shape is refined underfoot, not in a corporate product brief. Every graphic and every shape is created by our team riders or a skateboarder — and a portion of every sale goes back to them. We’re not trying to be the biggest. Most brands draw a shape that looks cool, lay it over a concave, and cut it. We do the opposite. At Bonzing it starts with the concave — we listen to what the wood is telling us before we decide what to make. Then we ride it, play with it, and break it. Prototype after prototype, shaped by hand and destroyed, trial after trial, error after error, until a board comes alive. That’s the part everyone skips. Only once we’ve found that smile on our face do we lock the shape and manufacture it to precision on our CNC. Same board, every time, made in the USA. Prototype by hand. Manufacture by machine.
